In the first year transitioning into software engineering from a non-technical career, Anna Carey (software engineer at Artsy), felt overwhelmed and inadequate navigating new technologies, including TypeScript. At first, the red squiggly lines in a TypeScript file seemed like one more technical roadblock telling her she had no idea what she was doing.
